Changing Prior category and start year.

Objective

The objective of this work instruction is to change the prior category and start year of a category that already contains data

1. Login to Hyperion Enterprise with your userID and Password and go to the Category module



2. Select the category you want to change the prior category for



3. At the bottom change the tab from Setup to Options



4. Identify the folder that holds the category data



5. Note that the prior category drop down button is grey.



6. Close Hyperion Enterprise


7. Open the windows explorer and browse to the folder that you identified in the previous step



8. Select the *.DAT file


9. Rename the *.DAT file by putting temp_ in front of the rest of the name.


10. Open Hyperion Enterprise and go to the Category module.


11. Select the category you want to change the prior category for


12. At the bottom change the tab from Setup to Options


13. Note that the prior category drop down button is now black.


14. Change the prior category to the desired category.



15. Change the start year



16. Click the disc button to save your work


17. Close Hyperion.


18. Go back to the windows explorer and select the renamed file


19. Rename it to the original name by removing the temp_ section from the name and enter to save.


20. Open Hyperion Enterprise and go to the Category module.


21. Select the category you have changed the prior category for


22. At the bottom change the tab from Setup to Options


23. Note that the prior category drop down button is now grey


24. Close Hyperion
