Exporting Data into Hyperion Enterprise.

Need to export the data from Hyperion Excel Reporting into Hyperion Enterprise?

 

Follow the below steps to Export the data into Hyperion.

 

1)    Logon to Hyperion Retrieve for Excel by double clicking the Retrieve for Excel icon under Hyperion Solutions folder in CITRIX environment.

 

2)    Logon on to the Hyperion application for which you required to export the data. Ex: MARKETING_SALES, GLOBAL_OUTSOURCING

3)    Creating the Upload sheet by using HPLNK formula.

 

4)    The number to be exported has to be created by the HPLNK formula by typing “=HPLNK()” in required cell and give the required parameters.

5)    Check whether the formula is working or not. i.e., It should show the value you entered but not #NAME or #VALUE .

6)    Before you export the data, please check all the conditions are true.

a.     Check the entity. The entity should be an INP level or ADJ level entity.

b.    Check the Period is unlocked for the specified category (Ex: 2008 category, JAN period)

c.     Make sure the account is an INPUT level account. i.e., It should not be having any formulas.

7)    Now click on RHXL àEXPORT to export the data into Hyperion Enterprise application.

8)    Check the data in Hyperion Enterprise. You should select the same ENTITY, ACCOUNT which you have selected for exporting the data in POV bar.
